A 15-year-old eighth-grader allegedly shot at a teacher and then shot himself in the head. He died a week later. Students said they believed the gun was fake so they ignored his commands to get on the floor, before approaching the teacher with the weapon in his outstretched hand. He fired a shot over the teacher's head but didn't hit her. Then he went to the restroom, where he shot himself. No one else was injured. According to the boy's diary, the plan was to shoot a sixth-grader, seventh-grader, two eighth-graders, and then take his own life.
