Five members of the Duquesne University basketball team were shot in a shooting spree on campus after a dance on campus. Two were hospitalized with more serious injuries. Sam Ashaolu suffered the worst, spending weeks in UPMC Mercy with gunshot wounds to the head. He eventually returned to class, but his physical condition never improved enough for him to rejoin the team. The shooting derailed Ashaolu's "promising college and possibly professional career as a basketball career," attorney William Goodrich said in a statement. Learn More (go.com)
